In a Pig's Ass

Commenting on a pink pig photo in my gallery, DJS asks: "So when did you take up political portraiture?"

That's certainly a big part of what fuels my photos now. Lots of them, whatever the subject, could be entitled, "In a Pig's Ass."

Alas, almost nobody on photo.net gets my photos any more. Just posted some new stuff – suburban landscapes from Mahwah, NJ – and they're not drawing much in the way of admiration, or comments. I suppose most folks who see them assume they're the work of a kid who just hasn't figured out what's pretty and what's not, or how to use the rule of thirds. And it's true I've begun adding more detail, with a view to making A3 prints, and the result isn't very appealing at Web size and resolution. Excuses, excuses.
